  • SHUT UP IF YOU WANT TO LEARN
  • Sound waves are heard when they pass through a medium to the ear. All sounds are made by vibrations of molecules through which the sound travels.
  • Vibrations in air are called traveling longitudinal waves, which we can hear.
  • NOT COOL
  • Why do we need mediums sorry I dropped out of school when I was 6 pretty badass huh
  • No you weren't just stop talking
  • I was being cool man
  • A sound wave that travels in the form of a longitudinal wave requires a medium to propagate. Mediums include air, water, wood, the Earth, and other stuff you'd know if you'd just stAyEd iN sChoOL
  • You were nOT
  • Also wow my arm can talk isn't that amazing
  • Sooo I know we aren't humans but what's the approximate range of audible frequencies they can hear?
  • About 20 to 20000 Hz
  • And extra!! Info!! The pitch of a sound is dictated by the frequency of the sound wave, but the loudness is dictated by the amplitude. Reflections of sound can also cause an echo!!!!!!!!! :)
  • Btw my wife is pregnant and she mentioned an ultrasound, which has the word sound in it so what is an ultrasound Mr Rat
  • What's a fetus
  • Never call me that again my name is Bob
  • An ultrasound is a sound with an ultrasonic frequency, which is too high to be heard by a human ear (higher than 20000 Hz). It's used to study your kid's fetus
  • I hate you
