This is Galileo Galilei. He was an Italian physicist and astronomer. His father, Vincenzo was a well known musician. He wanted Galileo to be a doctor. He was sent to the University of Pisa to study medicine.
Galileo was born on Febrary 15, 1564 in Pisa Italy and died January 8, 1642.
He discovered the 4 most massive moons of Jupiter and that the sun and the other planets don't orbit around the earth.
Galileo made his own telescope. He was the first person to look at the moon through a telescope and make his first astronomy discovery. He found out that the moon was not smooth but, is rough.
Galileo also made a hydrostatic balance to measure small objects. He was inspired by the story Archimendes.
He discovered that objects fall at the same rate, proving his prediction true.
