Storyboard Text

  • And of this place, I might have been mistress!
  • Yes, very handsome.
  • Do you not think Mr Darcy a very handsome gentleman, Ma'am?
  • He was always the sweetest-tempered, most generous-hearted, boy in the world.
  • Can this be Mr Darcy!
  • Elizabeth arrives at Pemberley with her aunt and uncle, and are greeted by the housekeeper.
  • That fine account of him, is not quite consistent with his behaviour to our poor friend.
  • Perhaps we might be deceived.
  • The housekeeper, Mrs Reynolds, shows them around Pemberley and speaks fondly of Mr Darcy and his family.
  • What is he doing here? He is not meant to be here. Oh no, what am I meant to say?
  • What is she doing here?
  • Elizabeth listens, impatient for more, to what Mrs Reynolds says about Mr Darcy.
  • I wonder what was passing in his mind... I wonder what he thought of me.. am I still dear to him?
  • What a fine figure of a man.
  • Was he feeling pain or pleasure...? He certainly was not composed.
  • After the general house inspection ends, they leave with the gardener to walk around the grounds.
  • All of a sudden, Mr Darcy appears barely twenty yards away from where Elizabeth is. Their eyes meet instantly, and they both blush deeply. They stare at each other for a while, before Mr Darcy recollects himself and walks away.
  • They continue their walk, heading towards the woods. Elizabeth continually thinks about the unexpected encounter, wondering what Mr Darcy thought of her.
