Exposition example: George and Lennie are on there way to the ranch and are preparing to work. George is like a parent to Lennie who is a child.

Inciting Incident Example: George is remember what happened in Weed and doesn't want something to happen to get them kicked out.

Rising Action; Carlson kills Candy's Dog because he thought he was useless and he should just be put down. Carlson was very straight forward and didn't really think that it was that big of a deal while Candy thought he should have been the one to do it.
Climax Example: Lennie by accident kills Curly's Wife by touching hair and not letting go and snapped her neck.
Falling Action Example: The boys discover that Lennie killed Curly's Wife and now want to kill Lennie and George makes a plan to go and sneak off and get to Lennie before they do.
Resolution Example: George kills Lennie for his own good. He was going to die either way and George wanted to make it as easy as possible for Lennie and distracting him and making him know that he wasn't mad at him.
