I'm John Brown born in Connecticut, raised in an anti-slavery family.
Declared bankruptcy in his early 40's , had more than 20 lawsuits filed against him.
I attended my first abolition meeting in Cleveland, I became so moved I am dedicated to destroying slavery.
In 1850's my 5 sons and I traveled to Kansas to fight against the pro-slavery forces.
My sons and I attacked a group of cabins, we killed 5 men with swords. One of my sons died in the fighting.
By 1857 I headed back East and started raising money to take my vision of a mass uprising of slaves.
