  • Principle 1: Genetic Variation
  • Principle 2: Overproduction and the Struggle to survive
  • Principle 3: Differential Survival and Reproduction (Survival of the Fittest)
  • Genetic variation is when various gene pools have various alleles of genes. This picture shows how there is diversity in the population, because there is both green and white birds.
  • Principle 4: Change in the Gene pool
  • Overproduction in a population causes a struggle for the organisms to survive because they have to fight for food and water.
  • Adaptation
  • Trait Selected for: Green bird Environment:        Green grass Adaptation: Green bird camouflages
  • On this stage only the fittest to the environment survive. This means the green birds survive because they camouflage.
  • Biology
  • Amelie Belmontes Period 1
  • The change in the gene pool means that all the green birds survive and the population is no longer diverse.
