On December 7th, 1941, Japan attacks Pearl Harbor unexpectedly by planes. 1,178 Americans are wounded and 2,403 are killed. The US declares war on japan for the disaster they made and the sleeping giant was awakened
Americans thought Japanese-Americans were spies so they put them on trains not telling them where they were going or how long they were going to be there for. if you had an ancestry of Japanese you were sent to the camps. It didn't matter if they were citizens or not. they still sent them away along with their family.
When they got to the camps they didn't like what they saw. They were put in horse stables and didn't have much space. They had to wait for hours to eat, take showers and didn't get much sleep due to how the stables were made. they were in the camps for about 4 to 5 years and when it was time for them to leave some were deported to Japan.
The United states went to war with Japan telling them to surrender but they wouldn't so more and more soldiers were dying. The US warned Japan that if they didn't surrender they'll regret it. Japan kept on fighting and didn't surrender
The US sent an atomic bomb to Hiroshima which burned everything in its path. People had their eyes burned out, they had skin hanging off their skin and some were completely burned from head to toe. 12,000 people were killed instantly and many more would die slowly throughout the years.
US soldiers came home with more money, jobs and had more babies. They didn't have to worry about money because the women were working during the war making weapons and aircraft's.
