  • Thank you.
  • Jefferson and Napoleon shake hands to sybolize the Louisiana purchase. The cost was 4 cents per acre and $15 million in total.
  • I declare this land to be yours.
  • Whoa! Look at those grizzlies!
  • Lewis, Clark and their dog set off to explore the West. They learned many things about the land, animals and weather.
  • We should take samples back to the president of these plants.
  • We must remove Native Americans away from the white settlements due to financial advantages.
  • This was called the Indian Removal Act in 1830
  • It will open territory between Tennessee on the North and Louisiana on the South.
  •  We are going to be so succesful when we reach the West. We will have land, grow a farm, and be wealthy.

  • This is an outrage! The Americans can't take our land, it's ours. We must fight back.
  • The Indians were right, it was their land. Although Natives were outnumbered and lost the fight, they will always be remembered as being in the first.
