Charlie (depicted) lives with his mom and dad and enjoys reading from his father's large collection of books.
"Later that night, he came into my room with a stack of books and quietly offered me the very thing i'd wanted all my life: permission to read whatever I liked from his library. My father's rows ad stacks of novels had awed me since he taught me to read..." - Craig Silvey, Jasper Jones, p. 6
Corrigan is the small Australian town in which Charlie and Jasper Jones live.
The Lionel estate is a "haunted" home owned by alleged murderer Jack Lionel. Outside the house sits a peach tree. Getting a peach pit from this tree is a sign of respect among children in Corrigan.
The forest is home to Jasper Jones' hideaway where he goes to seek refuge from his alcoholic father and the adults and kids of Corrigan who view him as an outcast and a thief. This is where Jasper finds the body of Laura Wishart, his friend and potential lover.
The Wishart household is home to Laura and her sister Eliza, who's father, similar to Jasper Jones', is an alcoholic.
