In 1791 in Western Pennsylvania the Farmers started a protest because the government started to tax whiskey instead of corn. So, they started to protest. However, the government didn't like it so Gorge Washington decided to take military action on them to show that the military is strong.

The Alien act was when congress passed the law that foreign people who are illegal will be deported. It also made sure that it would be hard for immigrants to vote in the U.S. This Act passed in 1789.
