King James I was a Protestant and was said that he was being too 'nice' to the Catholics but Guy Fawkes and his group thought that he was being very harsh.Guy Fawkes and his group were planing to blow up the parliament . They planed this all in a small pub called Duck and Drake.rumer has it that the plotters tried to dig a tunel under the river called Thomas in England but unfortunately their plane failed because the tunnel was flooded.
" Yes, we finally put our gunpowder in place and now we can start operation gunpowder plot " said Guy Fawkes. During that moment one of the plotters was thinking of writing a letter Lord Monteagle saying to not go to the parliament on the 5 of November. There were 36 gunpowder at the end.
Once the anonymous letter got to Lord Montegale,he passed the letter on to Robbert Cecil (kings cheif adviser),but Cecil didn't search the House Of Parliament straight away because he wants to make it look that he was catching the plotters in the act. When the gaurds came inside the cell, Guy Fawkes said that his name was John Johnson.
Guy Fawkes was racked for 3 days in the Tower of London, and was asked quetions. They said to Guy Fawkes to admit that he wanted to blow up the houses of Parliments up and they would stop the torture, but he said no.All his bones and mucels ture upart. He was then drawned backwards to the execution place by a horse. After he was hanged near to death, gentials, bowls and heart cut off and burt.Finaly, quatered(choped into 4 pieces) and displayed.
Thomas Percy and Robert Catesby tried to run away to Staffordshire but they were found. What is suspitious about their death is that they were killed with the same musketball. It went through onr body into the next one and their heads are also displayied.
Me(Amira)and Vasilisa also with our honest opinion think that Guy could be telling the truth because when he was racked,he didn't admit that he wanted to blow the houses up,and kept the torture to continue. We also think that it is Cecil who should be blamed for because he said to the King that he was being to 'nice' to the Cathelics, so using that the King see's that he has to be harsher.
