Welcome to the Circus! By Julia Konschink and Amanda Mizerak
The cell membrane is like the circus security.
The ringmaster is the head of the circus and runs the show, just like the nucleus runs the cell.
The ribosomes are like the preformers.
I like to dance!
I like to make people laugh!
I like to sing!
The choreography gives instructions to the preformers, just like the DNA gives instructions to the rest of the cell.
The golgi apparatus is like the circus manager.
The security guards control who goes in and out of the circus, just like the cell membrane controls what comes in and out of the cell.
The preformers jobs are to make the show great, just like the ribosomes have to make great proteins.
I like to do trapeze.
The circus manager makes sure everybody/thing gets to where they need to be smoothly, they make sure everyone at the cirus is having fun. Similar to how the golgi packages and ships the protein, in this case it'd be the fun.
