  • Oh my gosh, John is that you?!
  • Yes, hey Emma what's up. Long time no see.
  • We have to talk, you gave me genital warts! Let's sit.
  • What, no way! We haven't been together for months and I have no symptoms.
  • HPV, is a a contagious viral infection that are fleshy growths, the warts, transmitted through sexual contact.
  • Wait, so what is genital warts?
  • HPV often goes unnoticed with no symptoms, I only knew because I got tested, but common symptoms for men would be warts on the penis, anus or scrotum. Women can have warts on the vagina or vulva. If ignored it can cause cancer, but usually goes away on its own.
  • Wait, what are some symptoms, why do I have none?
  • It's okay, don't worry, it can be cured. There are prescriptons that fight off the virus, and creams that can heal the area.
  • Oh nooo. I have an STI I can never get rid of and never have sex ever again.
  • Thank god! Thanks Emma, I'll take the advice.
  • Bye John,  remember always use condoms and get tested,  there are even vaccines that can protect you.
