Hi everyone & welcome back to "The Radiant Teachers edition of Do it yourself: Affordable Home Projects." Today we are going to take this old stool, that I just had laying around, & put a little spunk back into it. We just added a small entertainment bar in our basement, so i'm SO excited to fix it up PLUS it'll save us from going out & buying a brand new set. Let's get started!
Attach cushion to stool
First thing we're gonna to do is sand down these legs so we can put a fresh coat of paint on them. *Use sand paper to sand legs of stool*
Cost of: Sand paper ___ Spray paint ___ Staple Gun/Staples ___ Cost of Materials: ___ Total Cost of Set of stools: ___ New set of stools: ___ Amount Saved: ___
Okay, so this looks good. Now let's grab some paint. The paint I have here is _____. I'm just going to spray like this making sure to apply an even coat on all the legs.
Now for the last step. I'm going to use this staple gun to attach the cushion. Just _____ staples should be enough.
Okay! So here's our finished product. That was so easy & it looks great! Real quick, I want to look at the overall cost of this project. *Summarize cost of each* That brings us to $____ and I have 3 more stools to finish so that brings the total cost to $_____. A typical set of new stools would run about $____ so I saved $____ refinishing my old unused stools! Think of how much you could save on renovations if you do simple projects like this yourself.
Tune in next time for another Do it yourself: Affordable Home Projects. Thanks for watching! *Wave*
