Storyboard Text

  • Frances and Michael are walking down Fifth Avenue, and Michael admires every woman they pass.
  • She't not so pretty anyway...not enough to break your neck.
  • *laughs* She's not bad looking, she's got a nice complexion.
  • As they make their way to the restaurant, Frances questions Michael's love and his point of view on the marriage.
  • Are you even really happily married?
  • I'm a happily married man. I am the envy of all men between the ages of 15 and 60 in the state of NY.
  • The couple discusses Michael's habit, only upsetting and confusing Frances even more.
  • You look at them as though you want them... every one of them.
  • Why do you hurt me? What're you doing?
  • I don't do anything about it, but it's true. I know it. That's why I feel bad.
  • I've made a good wife, a good housekeeper, a good friend. I'd do any damn thing for you.
  • Tell the truth!
  • Okay, okay. I admit, there are times where I'd like to be free.
  • Frances explains to Michael how she feels, and she asks if he keep his comments and thoughts on other women to himself. To protect her feelings.
  • *sniffles* At least do me one favor...
  • Stop talking about how pretty this woman is, and what they have. Keep it to yourself.
  • Okay. I'll keep it to myself.
  • As the conflict is resolved, Frances gets up to make a phone call. Michael is silently admiring his wife, as he should've been.
  • "Hello? Mrs. Stevenson?"
  • Look how pretty she is...
