  • Colonist had terrorize ship captains that brought tea and the people who bought it. Tea was banned in New York, Philadelphia, and other ports.Governor of Boston Thomas Hutchinson refused to give arriving tea ships papers that would allowed to return to England.

  • December 16, 1773 a large crowd gathered in Harbors and disguised Native Americans boarded the tea ships. They threw 342 cases of tea into the harbor. The crowd cheered the raiders destroyed 9,000 pounds of tea worth of thousands of dollars
