  • Reign of Terror
  • Thousands of Persian women rioted over the price of bread rising with knives and other dangerous weapons.
  • Execution of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette
  • Here lies King Louis XVI and Queen Mari Antoinette. Cause of death: execution.
  • Declaration stating that men are born and remain free and equal in right. Ensured citizens equal justice, freedom of speech, and freedom of religion. Set by the National Assembly.
  • Rise of Napoleon
  • I shall crown myself.
  • Dark and dangerous time, radicals took control of the Revolutionary government. Anyone who "wasn't loyal" would be executed.
  • Fall of Napoleon
  • King Louis XVI was convicted of conspiracy with foreign powers. Queen Marie Antoinette was convicted of treason, both were executed.
  • Successfully defended the National Convection, directory had Napoleon lead a French army against Austria and Kindgom of Sardinia. Had many victories. 
  • Launched an invasion of Russia, allies invaded French and captured Paris forcing him to surrender and was then exiled.
