Storyboard Text

  • HERO
  • "I'm Beowulf, I've killed nine sea monsters!"
  • Vast Setting
  • Beowulf killed my son, so I'm going to kill him
  • Beowulf traveled to Denmark and was thrown a feast by King Hrothgar while he bragged of his many accomplishments.
  • Beowulf decided to personally kill the dragon that burned up and terrorized the land of Geats
  • The setting takes places in Denmark and Sweden. Beowulf explored many places throughout the story, such as an underwater layer, a dragons lair, and Herot.
  • ...but little did beowulf know, his fight would not be soon over...
  • Beowulf characters are not human, they are mythical creatures. Every character resembles a demonic-like monster with supernatural qualities.
  • The epic style of writing makes you feel and see what you are reading. Grendel doesn't just eat a man, he "bit into his bone-lappings, bolted down his blood and gorged on him in lumps..." Very descriptive and gruesome.
  • Narrator knows everything happening in the story and all perspectives and uses 3rd person omniscient pov to tell us the thoughts, feelings, and actions of the characters. He writes as if he is witnessing everything.
  • Ana Grossman
