Storyboard Text

  • Manipulations & Witchcraft
  • Betty? Now stop this! Betty! Sit up now!
  • Who accused me?
  • By: Anaijah Brown
  • Mr. Putnam, I have here an accusation by Mr. Corey against you.
  • This shows dishonesty because Betty is pretending to be unconscious to go along with their lies about Tituba. She has overcome with fear and is pretending so she doesn't have to face the authorities because they would get in trouble for dancing in the woods.
  • After Mary Warren comes home she explains to John and Elizabeth that she saved her life today in court. She was being accused of Witchcraft and would have to testify in court. Mary gave Elizabeth a poppet doll that she made for her in court and Abigail sabotaged Mary and stuck a needle in the doll  causing her to be investigated by the court .
  • At this point in the story more and more people were being accused of having relations with witchcraft. People were accusing others just to clear their name and reputations in the village. Giles Corey has accused Mr.Putnam of having relations with witchcraft but has no proof to back up the accusation.
  • The conflict of witchcraft has not been resolved. As time went on more and more people were sent to jail, eventually went to trial and were hung for not confessing. Many people in the village were strong believers in their religion and did not want to lie under any circumstance, they eventually died for not "telling the truth"
  • The End
