The students are right they have the right to wear the armbands it is part of their constitution rights and no one can take them away.
What is the Significance?
The United State Supreme court concluded that the students rights were being violated and they have the right to express themselves in any peaceful manner they choose.
The school is not allowed to limit a student or teachers first amendment rights. Student and teachers are now able to freely express their first amendment rights as long as it does not cause a disturbance to the classroom or school.
