A foolish thought, to say a sorry sight.
Hark!—Who lies i’ th’ second chamber?
This is a sorry sight.
One cried “God bless us” and “Amen” the other, List’ning their fear. I could not say “Amen”
Consider it not so deeply.
Lady Macbeth calls out to her husband as he enters with bloody daggers. He anxiously questions if she heard any noise while he was out on in the murderous night.
Macbeth frantically wonders who laid in the second chamber making odd noises. It turns out to be Donalbain, the son of King Duncan. Macbeth remarks of a a sorry sight, to which the Lady shuts down.
Macbeth recounts him walking through the halls and hearing people praying to God, and him being unable to audibly do so. Lady Macbeth tells him to not worry about it.
