  • I have done the deed. Didst thou not hear a noise?
  • A foolish thought, to say a sorry sight.
  • Donalbain.
  • Hark!—Who lies i’ th’ second chamber?
  • This is a sorry sight.
  • One cried “God bless us” and “Amen” the other, List’ning their fear. I could not say “Amen”
  • Consider it not so deeply.
  • Lady Macbeth calls out to her husband as he enters with bloody daggers. He anxiously questions if she heard any noise while he was out on in the murderous night.
  • Macbeth frantically wonders who laid in the second chamber making odd noises. It turns out to be Donalbain, the son of King Duncan. Macbeth remarks of a a sorry sight, to which the Lady shuts down.
  • Macbeth recounts him walking through the halls and hearing people praying to God, and him being unable to audibly do so. Lady Macbeth tells him to not worry about it.
