  • TUNDRA
  • There are three types of tundra- the Arctic tundra, the Antarctic tundra and the Alpine tundra.
  • Oh no!! Not a wolf! He'll eat me!!!!!!!
  • RAINFOREST
  • Rain forests cover about 7% of the earth’s surface, but they contain more than 50% of all plant and animals species on the planet. They are warm and wet all year round.
  • This is not my biome! I belong in the city, with my owner!! Why am I here??
  • TEMPERATE FORESTS
  • Oak and maple trees grow here and the soil is very fertile.  Summers are mild, while winter temperatures are often well below freezing. Animals and plants in the forests have to adapt to changing seasons.
  • It's soo hot in here. I wish I had listened to Mom......
  • The Alpine tundra is found on the mountaintops, above the treeline. Conditions here are harsh, with heavy snowfall and winds.
  • The Arctic tundra is found on the edge of the North Pole.
  • The Antarctic tundra has soil in some places that can support life.
  • A rain forest has three layers: the canopy, the understory and the forest floor.
  • It's fun to explore the rainforest! Come play hide and seek with me!!!
  •  Most temperate forests are located in the eastern United States, Canada, Europe, China, Japan, and parts of Russia. The average annual precipitation is 30 - 60 inches.
  • A snow owl! I've only seen one in a zoo!!! Hi birdie!
