  • The 12 tables were a group of laws created by the goverment so all citizens were treated equally
  • Julius Caesar was declared "Dictator for Life" by the senate due to great success in his political and military careers.
  • Julius was later stabbed b/c of  theories developed by many of the senates
  • Many theories revolved around the idea that he might be too powerful and overthrow the Republic
  • After the assassination of Caesar, Augustus was soon declared emperor, many say he was the "greatest Roman emperor"
  • A merit examination system was created to see what "regular people" had to offer
  • These were to give all people an equal opportunity  
  • Everything began to advance farther includes the use of coins, postal services, and road systems.
