Storyboard Text

  • I´m Bertha the plant
  • Hi, I´m Lulu the rabbit and now we are going to explain the process of cellular respiration.
  • GLUCOSE
  • First of all, cellular respiration is a process that releases energy from food in the prescence of oxygen
  • Its equation is 6O2 + C6H12O6       6CO2 +6H2O +ENERGY
  • It is divided in 3 stages: Glycolysis, Krebs Cycle and Electron transport
  • Now we´re going to show you the first stage
  • CYTOPLASM
  • GLYCOLYSIS
  • TO ELECTRON TRANSPORT CHAIN
  • 2
  • 2
  • NADH
  • NAD+
  • TO KREBS CYCLE
  • 2 PYRUVIC ACID
  • 2
  • 4
  • 4
  • 2
  • ATP
  • ATP
  • ADP
  • ADP
  •    Also, in the process of glycolysis, 4 ATP molecules are synthesized synthesized from 4 ADP molecules. Given that 2 ATP molecules are used to start the process, there is a net gain of just 2 ATP molecules.
  • After that, we are going to show you the next stage
