This project establishing Oedipus as the Archetypal Tragic Hero by identifying and explaining the following characteristics of a tragic hero.
"I Oedipus, your world-renowned king."
"Sure success, for me assured defeat"
"To one who walks warily his words, Villain detected in one day"
"Counts more precious, his life"
"Ah me!, Ah me!""I stand a wretch, in birth, in wedlock cursed,"
"God help me, You where born to misery"
Oedipus is a king. His position is a powerful man.
"A parricide, incestuously, triply cursed!"
The chorus say that they detected villain in one day. This stands for Oedipus's reversal in one day.
Oedipus was born to misery.In that moment Oedipus suffers a downfall from his happiness to misery, because he finds out he is cursed.
"Oedipus realizes his tragic mistake. He’s aware of the truth now. He killed his father, married his mother, and fathered her children."
