John Proctor, Elizabeth Proctor (Pregnant), lots of others in jail for witchcraft.
ACT 1: John Proctor talking to Abigail when she wanted to be with him and he was focusing on his wife and told her that what happened between them was a mistake. This is important because it moves the story on what happens between John and his wife more into the story and Johns fate.

ACT 4: This is a big part because it proves to the courts that the girls were lying and now the courts can't take back any of the hangings that already happened in the town. Also they stole money from Reverend Parris and that just proves to the people of the town that they were lying even more. J
ACT 3: Everyone was getting arrested for witchcraft. It impacted the story because it showed how reliable everyone's situations were. Also how everyone could just point fingers and people would be thrown in jail.
ACT 4: John Proctor was getting hung because he would not confess to lechery and didn't want to spoil the only thing he had which was his name. This impacted the story by John was proving to the town that just because someone was pointed fingers doesn't mean it's true. Hale is in this by he was really upset over the fact that he knew the girls were lying and he came to this village to help save people and he didn't save anyone and now the guilt is getting to him.
