Storyboard Text

  • Hey Alex! We are running late for science. What are you doing?
  • It's cool Ana, I'll just take my lunch with me and eat it in the lab.
  • I don't think that's a good idea...
  • Why do we need to go over lab safety? I mean it's common sense.
  • Today's Lesson: Science Safety and Lab Rules
  • I'm pretty sure I know all the rules for the lab.
  • Today's Lesson: Science Safety and Lab Rules
  • Good morning class! To begin our lesson today, the 1st rule of lab safety I want to go over is there is no food or drinks allowed in the lab at any time.
  • That's correct, Ana. I'm glad you know the rules. Alex, I'm sorry but your food needs to be thrown away.
  • Today's Lesson: Science Safety and Lab Rules
  • Food & drinks can become contaminated in the lab or worse contaminate something in here. It is a serious health hazard.
  • What?! Why can't we have food in the lab? I'll wash my hands before I start any experiments.
  • Today's Lesson: Science Safety and Lab Rules
  • Actually, Ana, you are breaking a rule right now. Long and loose hair needs to be pulled back at all times. Also, loose clothing like your sweater can't be worn in the lab.
  • I make sure to always follow the rules of the lab. I put safety first every time.
  • Today's Lesson: Science Safety and Lab Rules
  • Well it is important to secure any loose hair or clothing so it does not get caught in anything we are experimenting with. You will remember for next time.
  • Ahh! But I always follow the rules!
