Juliet is out on her balcony and Romeo is hiding, just like in the actual story. Some changes though is that the way that Juliet is going to see Romeo is much different. This new way can create tension for the audience.
The picks up and Juliet trips and falls over the balcony. Romeo shows some bravery to go and try to save her. I am leaving out the part where Romeo gets caught because, as I said, this new scene creates more tension for the viewers. It also shows how Romeo would try and do anything to help Juliet, in this case, he is risking getting caught everyone just to save Juliet from getting hurt.
Romeo shows more of his "Lover" archetype but rushing quickly to save the person he loves truly. This puts the audience in shock because of how fast he reacted, and some bravery to save her even when he is risking to be caught
