Storyboard Text

  • O Captain! My Captain!
  • When the captain, Lincoln, was murdered. The author wanted you to feel  mournful.
  • T- Tone
  • The stuff that stood out to me were;  "the swaying mass" and  "while follow eyes  the steady keel", because  it uses words that you don't use normally.
  • W- Word Choice
  • "My captain  does not answer,  his lips are pale and still."
  • I- Imagery
  • This has a very formal style to the poem.  It's like the poem is a speech from a president.
  • S- Style
  • They have won the war  but the captain, Lincoln, has been murdered.
  • T- Theme
