  • Hi boys! You´d never believe what I discovered today

  • Well guys, did you know that our body uses fermentation when we get more oxygen, than the one we can process?!
  • Yes! Let me explain you. Alcoholic fermentation is a complex biochemical processduring which yeasts convert sugars to ethanol
  • In alcohol?!
  • First, one glucose molecule breaks down into two pyruvates;then, the energy from this exothermic reaction convert NAD+ to NADH. The twopyruvates are then broken down into two C2H4O and give off two CO2 as aby-product. And finally, the two C2H4O are then converted to two ethanol byusing the H- ions from NADH, converting NAD+ back into NADH.

  • And that's how beer is made?
  • Not exactly, however that's how alcohol is generated.
