The Masque of the Red Death

Introduction: The whole country is being swept by the "Red Death." "No pestilence had ever been so fatal, or so hideous."
Conflict: Prince Prospero got tired of being locked inside his abbey with his friends, and he decided to throw a masquerade ball
Rising Action: At midnight a mysterious stranger arrives. "The mask which concealed the visage was made so nearly to resemble to countenance of a stiffened corpse."
Climax: Prince Prospero got furious with the Stranger because of how he was dress, so he ran after the Stranger through the six chambers. This led to the Stranger killing Prince Prospero.
Falling Action: The people threw themselves on to the Stranger because he killed Prince Prospero. After touching the Stranger, each would fall to their death.
Resolution: Following the death of Prince Prospero, no one in the abbey escaped death. "And one by one dropped the revellers in the blood-bedewed halls of their revel, and died each in the despairing posture of his fall.
