  • Where are we visiting first?
  • Her goal for the trip was to visit as many locations. The magazine company she works for wanted a article of her experience in Kenya. It was her chance to get an article published.
  • We are visiting a small village in Southern Kenya.
  • Wally got to meet two siblings. Their names were Christine and Jane. The older sister was taking care of her little brother. Both of their parents had died years earlier.
  • Wally realized how bad it was in Kenya. There wasn't enough resources for them. Especially water, which was the most important resource.
  • Wally couldn't stop thinking about the situation back in the village. She decided to do something about it.
  • What could I do?
  • As soon as she got back to New York, Wally decided to write the article about the importance of water. She wrote how they could help them by donating.
  • After publishing Wally donated money and learned a lesson to appreciated the little things. A year and a half passed and her article was published in the New York Times.
