Joan or Arc was a 17 year old peasant girl who claimed she heard the voices of saints urging her to save France. She disguised her self as a man and went out and headed for war.
Yes god, I will save France!
Joan had left her home to find a fort where she could ask ask for knights protection and she soon got it. When she go to the kings castle she found the king when he was disguised as one of the other men.The king stated that she passed the test and was chosen to lead the country. She set out for the army.
I hope that my parents don't freak out if they find that im not really staying at my cousins house.
In 1429 she lead the French to victory in the battle of Orleans. Her pride for her country and hope had helped them win. The french had gotten so far into their territory that they made it through the city gates and into the town where the English soon retreated.

But when the English were attacking Joan was outside of the city gates of her town and the King acted fast and put up the draw bridge trapping her out. she then got captured by the English allies and they threw her into jail.
I hope so very much they win.
Joan was then put on trial in Rouen for witch craft and Hersey. She confessed but then took it back because she didn't wan to give in. Then on May 30, 1431 she was burned at the stake.
That's Joan right?
During the time that the French drove the English out of France she became a legend. And in 1920 she became a catholic saint. She proved that women can be brave and effective leaders.
Joan has proven that we are a very united county and we will win!
