Once upon a time in a mystic land ruled by the gods, a king who would challenge all divine authority, was born.
Shanarani grew up in the palace instructed by the best teachers. At a young age, he learned to sculpt the intrinsic features of the celestial beings, to play the famous ball game, but most of all, he learned to listen and developed compassion for his people.
Shararani was the son of the rulers and enjoyed life as the heir to the throne. Little did he know, he would come into power way before he imagined.
The sun rose by morning, and the birds started chirping, life went on as any other day. When Shanarani rose, the castle seemed extremely quiet. Suddenly, a roar of thunder approached the horizon, and a flash of lightning fell from the sky, through the windows, into the bedroom of the king and queen.
A loud crash echoed through the land and Shanarani’s heart fell. The prophecy had come true. The god of rain, Cocijo, the god of rain, had killed his parents, leaving a young boy to become ruler of a whole entire nation.
One day, Shanarani went hunting with his servants and met a lady in the middle of the forest. She was an exquisite and beautiful lady. That dazzling gaze could only mean she was a mixtec. No zapotec was allowed to marry a mixtec, but it was too late, Shanarani had fallen in love.
