  • We are first introduced to two people talking on a yacht; Whitney and Rainsford. The two are revealed to be hunters who are talking about an island with a dangerous reputation; Ship-Strap Island, the topic brought up by Whitney. They then put aside the topic as Whitney decides to end the day there. However, when Rainsford was by himself, he heard gunshots and fell into the waters.
  • Falling Action
  • After hearing multiple gunshots, Rainsford falls off the yacht and swims his way to land; to which he falls asleep once he is out of the water. After awakening, Rainsford investigates where the gunshots came from and came across a lofty building was greeted to a big man aiming a revolver to his heart. He is then greeted by another man who introduces himself as General Zaroff and the other man being Ivan. While talking about huntsman-ship, General Zaroff reveals his pleasure of killing other human beings and forces Rainsford into his game of survival, due to his boredom of killing humans. 
  • Resolution
  • After setting up multiple traps and going through the game, Rainsford manages to kill General Zaroff's lackey; Ivan. However, he is cornered by the general's dogs. With nothing else to do, Rainsford jumps into the water to escape the dogs.
  • Rainsford was able to escape from the dogs and by proxy; the game. However, Rainsford was not finished with his day. The general knew fully well that Rainsford lost the game, or at least he thought so. When the general decided to sleep, little did he know, Rainsford was hiding in his bedroom.
  • The general was surprised as to how Rainsford got back here. To answer what the general asked, he simply answered that he swam back. The general then congratulated Rainsford for his efforts and winning the game. However, Rainsford's expression did not change and proceeded to stab him; ultimately killing the general. He would then end the day by sleeping in the general's bed.
