But his relationship with Cynthia declined and they broke up, John met a Japanese artist named Yoko Ono, whom he married in 1969, and with whom he shared his time with his son and with Yoko's son.
In 1966 The Beatles played their last big concert, in San Francisco, a year later, Brian Epstein, his manager and friend died, which affected the group a lot, in 1969 they played together for the last time on a roof in London, a year later that The Beatles separated and worked in solo albums.
John and Yoko were great promoters of the idea of world peace, while the Vietnam War developed, they composed songs about peace and even protested from their beds, in which they spoke of peace for the whole world.
In 1975, John's second son, Sean Taro Lennon, was born, John became a responsible father, they stayed home while Yoko worked, they bought a building called The Dakota, near Central Park, in New York, where his fans did not harassed, so he devoted himself to other hobbies and composed some albums with Yoko.
On December 8, 1980, Mark David Chapman, a man from Hawaii, had only one idea: "Kill someone famous", so while John and Yoko came to the Dakota, Chapman gave him 4 shots with his gun, despite that he had to return to Hawuaii for his ammunition, then he stayed in place waiting to be arrested.
Crowds of people came to The Dakota, unable to accept what happened, John Lennon had died and nothing could change it. However, his legacy lives in his music and in all the works he did in his life.
