I suspect that you may have some smuggled goods I will search your house
Look at all of these bottles of molasses we are going to court
I bought those from stores and paid the tax i was going to give these to a freind.
The ruling is that since the officer found even the smallest evidence of having smuggled molasses you will have all of it taken.
Also there is no proof you paid the tax no officer said you did.
This officer has only suspected that this guy has smuggled items and will search his house if he finds anything even if he actually bought it he will take it and make him pay the fee.
What are we going to do now with nothing to supply the business.
Well there is nothing we have to save it I guess we will close down and live on the street as all of the jobs are full.
It looks like they are going to court this was not a fair investigation the officer is going uninvited and taking this man to court is he lying or is he not find out on the next slide where we see who is innocent.
In this scene our very own town citizen is getting judged with an unfair trial with no proof this is how it was now this man is forced to lose is molasses that he spent money on to trade with the colonists. Now this man may go broke.
That is that the ending nothing went well this has probably happens to lots of other people trying to own a business and because of unfair tax laws such as this one the sugar act these innocent people lost everything to it proving that the concept of the sugar act was doomed.
