It was a long process. Many points were discussed in the conference; one of which was the transfer of sovereignty from the Netherlands to the United States of Indonesia.
This meeting took around 2 months to complete, as there were many other topics to cover, like how Indonesia and the Dutch would stop fighting and how they would finally arrange a suitable conclusion.
Before this, there were many wars that happened and caused many casualties from both sides.
The UN had to intervene to stop the gunshots by talking to both sides to stop.
They were both told to solve the problem without any gunfire. And so happened the Konferensi Meja Bundar.
The meetings would often last for almost a whole day, sometimes 6-7 hours. If not, it might have taken a longer time to finish this conference.
