Lewis and Clark: Western Expedition
This storyboard does not have a description.
Meriwether Lewis and William Clark were hired by Thomas Jefferson to find a water route that connected the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
Two days into the trip, Lewis slides of a ledge and almost died.
Lewis and Clark met Sacagawea and used her to help them make peace with the natives.
On February 11, 1805, Sacagawea gave birth to her son Jean who became the America's youngest explorer.
Sacagawea introduced Lewis and Clark to edible plants in the area that allowed them to hunt less and spend more time studying the area.
They went down the Columbia River and finally found the Pacific Ocean after 1.5 years.
