  • There are three different types of estates the first is the clergy, second is nobility, and finally the third one was the majority of the population.

  • The third estate came up with a secret group  called the National Assembly, they would always meet up at a spot no matter what  circumstances. 
  • On July 14, 1789 was when the people got sick and tired of having the prison because it reminded them of the good innocent people who where tortured or died in there so they tore the place down brick by brick and sold it to people as a trophy.
  • As the 18th century drew to a close, France’s costly involvement in the American Revolution and extravagant spending by King Louis XVI and his predecessor had left the country on the brink of bankruptcy. Not only were the royal coffers depleted, but two decades of poor cereal harvests, drought, cattle disease and skyrocketing bread prices had kindled unrest among peasants and the urban poor.
