  • In this scene it shows Mr.Conner in front of the judge ruling what would happen to the boys who locked him in the courthouse outhouse. The charges of disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, assault and battery, and using abusive and profane language. (page 12)
  • Chapter 4
  • In this scene it is Scout's first day of school. Miss Caroline gives Scout a hard time for already having the basic knowledge of what she is learning. She tells Scout to stop being taught outside of school.  (page 22) 
  • Chapter 5
  • Calpurnia called Scout into the kitchen explaining to her angrily that not everyone could afford food and that he is company and that it was very wrong to yell at him for putting too much syrup on his food.  (page 32-33)
  • Chapter 6
  • After school one afternoon, Scout sees tinfoil sticking out of the oak tree in front of the Radley's house. She grabs the gum and begins to chew it until Jem yells at her to spit it out. On the last day of school they find two Indian head pennies in the tree. (page 70-71)
  • Jem and Dill plan on going to give Boo a note to invite him out. They tried to stick a note in the window of the Radley house with a fishing pole but Atticus caught them in the action ad ordered them to leave the man alone. (page 63-64)
  • Jem, Scout, and Dill sneak over to the Radley's house and peek through a window. When they look in they saw a man's shadow but when they saw him and then Scout tripped sending a roar of a shotgun sending them to run under the fence of the school yard to escape. In the process of escaping Jem lost his pants on the fence. Jem was then later forced to go back and get his pants because he did not want to lie to atticus. (page 71-73)
