He was born on July 29, 1883 in Predappio, Italy. His family was very poor. He also got expelled from many schools but was intelligent.
In his his early years he became a follower of Karl Marx who influenced him. He also worked as a political journalist and school master and was also many times arrested and imprisoned.
In his later early life years he changed his mind about socialism and was in favour of going to war. So, he went to fight in the war.
He later returned from the war because of being injured and in 1918 he advocated an emergence for a dictator. He started to get bigger attention and the people liked him. Then because of Mussolini's influence, Fascists started to get control of big parts of Italy and Mussolini was planning to take over power.
Later, when Mussolini threatened to march on Rome, The king accepted Fascism and gave Mussolini power.
