This is an icecube named Jerry, he is a solid. Jerry was out in the middle of the desert and he started melting due to the sun giving him kinetic energy. This meant that the particles inside of jerry were starting to move faster due to the increase of kinetic energy.
When Jerry was completely melted he is now a liquid, his particles now move, but they move very slowly. Jerry's volume is definite, but his shape is indefinite. He is still exposed to the scorching sun, so his particles are still gaining energy. Jerry is going to start evaporating.
Jerry is now gaining a lot of kinetic energy and the particles are moving very fast. The particles are now freely roaming with no connection what so ever. He has evaporated. He is now what most people call a gas.
It is now night, which means that the desert that Jerry is in will start getting cold. Jerry's Particles are now slowing down and he is starting to condensate from a gas to a liquid. His particles are very close together again and they move slow.
As the night progresses, Jerry's particles keep losing kinetic energy causing him to be at the point where he is a solid again. His molecules are extremely close together and cannot move. His volume is definite as well as his shape.
