And if our example of the Hinge Theorem was not enough, get ready to blow up your minds. Suppose you and MARY, are walking through a house, and you come across a trap door on the ground that you have to go through. You go first by opening the door so that the length of the opening is large enough for you to fit through it. Mary goes second, and has to open the door a bit wider to make the length of the opening large enough for her to fit through. Well hopefuly you understand the concept. Let us go on.
So, lets see, for every theorem we always ALWAYS have the converse. :D The Converse of the Hinge Theorem states that--> If two triangles have two congruent sides, then the triangle with the longer third side will have a larger angle opposite that third side.
So, If JL is congruent to PR, KL is congruent to QR, and PQ > JK, then mLR> mL L
Real Life Example
My darlings, so imagine there´s a two dinosaurs faces with their open mouth on front of you, one is larger than the other, you know the measures of the two open mouth, one is 15 cm and the other is 11 cm. So you could say for example, the opposite angle to 15 cm is B, and for 11 cm is G, you´ll say that angle B is larger than angle G, because its opposite side is larger. GOT IT? GREAT!
Well, because we are wasting I mean, we don´t have much time left, I will give you a useful advice, always remember that the angle or the side that is larger, will have its opposite side or angle larger as well. so for your final statement, you have to say that your larger triangle is larger than the other because of the larger angles or sides.
THANK YOU ALL!
AND THAT´S HOW I DIED. I MEAN, THAT´S EVERYTHING FOR THIS COMIC THAT WON´T LET ME TELL THE STORY OF MY DEATH. ANY WAY, THANKS FOR WATCHING, SEE YOU NEXT PROJECT! :D
