Mohenjo Daro, in Pakistan and India near the Indus River. 2000 B.C.
Welcome to Mohenjo-Daro
The citizens of Mohenjo Daro had houses made with mud bricks and they had flat roofs so they could sit on the top. The citizens wouldn't spend that much time in their house because it was so hot. Most people also used their houses as workshops.
The humans also have a brick shower tray. They poor water all over themselves, I don't understand how they can touch that cold stuff.
WE CAN SIT ON OUR ROOFS!
In Mohenjo-Daro, we have a sewer system, it cleans up our waste, so all of that nasty stuff isn't lying around in the water or on the ground.
Mommy! Are we going to get PURIFIED!?
This is our Great Bath, we believe that we will become pure when we bathe in this sacred place.
Yes, and be quiet. This is the religious Great Bath, we have to be silent.
These are seals, we use them to label our materials, so when we trade the materials people will know what it is.
We tie the seals on baskets and pots!
Instead of buying materials with money, we exchange goods with each other, and other civilizations.
We exchange things, like pots, baskets, food and other goods that people might want in other civilizations.
We travel along the Indus river to get to other civilizations.
