She is looking forward to see what America has in store for her when she arrives with high hopes.

She is well fed and has a good place to sleep but she wants money to buy herself things and dress like an American. She is upset because she works hard and wants money for all that she does. America isnt what she anticipated.
We provide you many things and yet you still want money? You aren't worth any money. We aren't going to give you money.
She leaves and is upset, and she is left with nothing and doesn't have anything or anywhere to go.
She finds something new but they pay her very little so she can't really buy anything. She has to share a room that isn't in the best condition and she doesn't get good meals like her old place. She questions herself and questions why America is the way it is and why isn't is as she hoped for.
She hears about the vocational- guidance center about the Women's Association. She goes and gets much advice and talks about how she feels. She believes you should love what you do and she wants America to want her but things don't go how she wanted in America. She gets advice that she would find something she enjoys to do and tells her "America is not a utopia",First you must become efficient in earning a living before you can indulge in your poetic dreams.”
She read about history of America and learned that people who came to America like pilgrims did't have it easy as well. She realized that America isn't the greatest thing but America is still being builded and America is still being created. She also knows that America is coming every day nearer coming to be.
