1898: Jackson Smith played on James Naismith's basketball team. James Naismith is the creator of basketball and coached for the University of Kansas. Jackson was an amazing point guard and scored 20 points in his first game at KU.
1901: Trip to meet president McKinley in New York.
1901: McKinley is assassinated before Jackson and the team can meet him. The team witnessed this happen.
1912: Jackson was going to ride on the Titanic but then a young lady had lost her ticket so he gave his to her. She went on later to be in a movie her name was Dorothy Gibson.
Jackson went to Babe Ruth's debut game with the New York Yankees. That day he hit a ball right to Jackson.
