  • The story took place in Midnight, the character is the narrator, Old Man, Neighbor, and the police. The mood is that he is depressed.

  • The narrator talked about how he killed the old man, how he is not mad at him, and how he don't like the old man eye.
  • Falling Action
  • The narrator was like spying on the old man every night. On the eighth night the old man was awake. He didn't know that he was still not sleeping so he knew that he had to kill the old man.
  • Resolution
  • The narrator cut off the old man head, arm, and leg. Then the old man is dead now. He hid the dead body under the floor.
  • The neighbor heard something and called the police. The narrator cleaned all the blood so the police won't see it. The police went to the narrator house.
  • The narrator heard the heartbeat and thought that the police heard it so he got mad and confessed that he killed the old man.
