sometimes my notes are just me yelling at the author. if i could get my hands on Kierkegaard or o'brien i would take them and just beat some logic into them. i read all the comments that have no meaning like this one in The Life Of Emily Dickinson that says " dont be a ninny"
mostly all students write is stuff for school like "metaphor" or "irony" like 50 times. you also can have the people who act like they are at a sports game saying "absolutely" or "yes", "bulls-eye", "my man". they seemed so excited.
if you have escaped having to write "Man vs. Nature" in a book now would be a good time. i mean we all write stuff for the sake of writing something
Irish monks wrote more meaningful things. in fact they would be writing the gospels and note how they were feeling and the pain they went through to write the gospels.
however the note i remember most is on in the book Catcher In The Rye. i was just starting high school and was reading it in the living room. i just remember reading this and it making me feel alone.
i saw greasy smears on the book and written right next to it in soft pencil were the words "pardon the egg salad stains, but i am in love" i could tell it was written by a beautiful girl
