Hey Alex, I'm good! Did you see the email I sent you?
New email from Em!
Em, what the heck! Why'd this jack up my screen?!
Maybe your phone is just being weird?? Check your email on your computer!
It's being weird on here, too! Why would you send this to me?!
And it sent it to all my contacts! Hold on, I have to go tell my parents not to open it.
I'm so sorry, Alex! I didn't even open it before sending! I just forwarded it because it looked cool!
Alex has hung up.
What Alex and Em just experienced is called a Network Travelling Worm. Once an attachment is opened through an email, it can self-duplicate itself onto other devices connected to the same wireless network. NIt may lead to a corrupted website, and can even send itself to those in the person's email contact list.
